Dr. Deepak's Diabetes Care is a diabetes care service provided by Holistic Health Care (“we”, “us”). This policy explains what information we collect when you use our app and website, why we collect it, who can see it and the choices you have. We process your personal data in line with India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023.
What we collect
- Account details: your name, mobile number, email address, date of birth, gender and city.
- Health information you share: your diabetes history and medications, glucose and HbA1c readings, weight and body measurements, symptoms, meal photos, water intake, physical activity and the lab reports you upload.
- Your program: your enrollment, diet plan, appointments, consultation notes, messages with your care team and attendance at live sessions.
- Security information: the devices you sign in from, IP addresses and sign-in times.
Why we use it
- To run your care program and let your care team support you.
- To send reminders and messages about your plan, appointments and live sessions.
- To keep your account secure and prevent misuse.
- To improve our service using combined, internal statistics.
We do not sell your data, show advertising, or make automated medical decisions about you. The app does not diagnose conditions or change medication.
Who can see your information
- You.
- The members of your care team assigned to you (for example your nutritionist, coach, doctor and support coordinator), and only while they are assigned to you.
- A small number of administrators who manage the service. Access is recorded in an audit log.
- Service providers who host or deliver the service for us (Amazon Web Services for hosting, and email and SMS delivery services), under contracts that require them to protect it.
- Authorities, where the law requires us to share it.
How we protect it
Your data is stored with Amazon Web Services (AWS) in its data centre in Sydney, Australia, and encrypted in transit. Every request is checked against who is allowed to see a record, files such as meal photos and lab reports are private and shared only through short-lived links, and access to patient records is logged.
How long we keep it
We keep your information while you are in a program and afterwards for as long as needed to continue your care and to meet legal requirements. When it is no longer needed, we delete it or make it anonymous.
Your rights
- Get a summary of the personal data we hold about you.
- Ask us to correct or complete inaccurate information.
- Ask us to delete your data. See how to delete your account.
- Withdraw your consent. Note that we may then be unable to continue your program.
- Nominate someone to exercise these rights for you.
- Raise a complaint with us, and if you are not satisfied, with the Data Protection Board of India.

Our programs are for adults aged 18 and over.
Changes
If we change this policy, we will update the date above and tell you in the app when the changes are significant.
